The Rafale is a twin-engine delta-wing multi-purpose fighter developed by the French Dassault Aircraft Manufacturing Company. Its main purpose is to replace the “Jaguar” series of attack aircraft of the French Air Force and the F-8 “Crusader” of the French Navy. Fighter, the prototype successfully made its first test flight in April 1986. The first production model rolled off the production line and entered military service at the end of 1998. The Rafale family includes 3 different models. Rafale M is a carrier-based version.
